How to know when to recharge Wind

As I told you at the beginning of the article, systems for know when to recharge Wind there are several and they are all equally valid. In fact, you can perform the operation in question calling the 4242 (Wind numbering for top-up and credit management), by sending an SMS to 4155 with a special text string, using the MyWind app or again, by accessing the online area of the operator's website.

Which system to adopt among the various available is a decision that is solely and exclusively up to you, based on your very personal needs and preferences, as well as the means in your possession. To find out more, go ahead and read: you will find everything explained in detail below.

Telephone service 4242

The first way to know when to top up your Wind line that I invite you to consider is to make a call to 4242, the number that the "orange manager" makes available to its customers for the management of top-ups and telephone credit. The call is free and the number is active 24/24.

That said, take your smartphone with the reference Wind card inserted inside, unlock it, access the screen where all the applications are grouped and open the dialer (the numeric keypad) by tapping on the relative icon (usually it is the green one with the telephone handset). Then dial the number 4242 on the keyboard and press the key for initiate a call (usually it is the one with the symbol of handset lifted).

When the call has started, listen to the instructions of the recorded voice and press the button for know the remaining credit and the expiry date of the SIM (which should be the 2). Once this is done, you will be shown the remaining credit on the SIM and its expiration date and you will be able, therefore, to find out the deadline for reloading the card before it expires.

SMS

Do you want to find out when to top up your Wind SIM by sending an SMS and receiving a reply message? This can also be done. To do this, just send special text strings to the number 4155.

To be precise, what you have to do is take your mobile phone with the reference Wind SIM inserted inside, unlock it, access the screen where the icons of all the apps are grouped and tap on the one for the message management (usually it is the one with the icon with a "printed" on it comic).

Computing the above steps, start composing a new message and type, in the field dedicated to entering the recipient, the number 4155. In body of the messageInstead, write the text INFO (to receive information on the expiry of the SIM and on the time needed to recharge, as well as on the active tariff plan) or STATE (to receive information on the status of active options, services and promotions with the relative activation or renewal date).

Then, send the SMS by pressing on the item Send (or in any case on the wording for send the message visible on screen). You will then receive a reply message containing the requested information.

MyWind app

If you prefer a more, so to speak, Smart system to know when to recharge your SIM Wind, you can rely on the app MyWind, available at no cost for both Android that for iOS and through which the operator's customers can monitor and manage everything concerning their SIM, top-ups, active promotions and so on.

To use the application, first download and install it on your device (if you have not already done so, of course), using the links to Play Store (on Android) orApp Store (on iOS) that I gave you just now. Once the download is complete, open the application by tapping on its icon (Quella with il Wind logo) which has been added to the screen where all the apps installed on the device are grouped.

Now that you are viewing the main MyWind screen, if you are connected with your device to the cellular data network of Wind, you do not have to perform any registration and / or login procedure as all the information relating to your line is shown to you directly. If, on the other hand, it is connected via Wi-Fi, you must first perform the login filling in the fields on the screen with the required information. If you don't have a Wind account yet, you can register at the moment by pressing the appropriate button and following the proposed guided procedure.

Once the main screen of the application is displayed, tap the button with the three lines horizontally situato in alto a destra e seleciona la voce Info Line from the menu that opens. Once this is done, you can view the expiration date of the SIM (which coincides, postponed by one year, with that of the last recharge made) in order to find out the deadline for recharging the card before it is deactivated, taking a look at how much reported in correspondence with the wording End Date placed at the top.

If, on the other hand, you want to understand when the renewal of any active offers on your number is expected and therefore when you need to top up in order to continue to use them and / or prevent the residual credit from becoming negative, always presses the button with the three lines horizontally located at the top right, select the item Info Line from the menu that opens, scroll through the new screen displayed until you find the section Active options and promotions and presses on offer name say your interest.

Using the new screen that will open, you will be able to view the relative renewal date (if any) in correspondence with the wording Renewal date at the top and, accordingly, determine when to top up your SIM.

Another system that you can use to know when to top up your Wind SIM is to access theonline customer area on the operator's website. In case you are not aware of it, this is the private area available on the Wind website to which each customer can connect to consult all the information relating to their SIM, activate new offers, disable existing ones, etc.

To access it, open the browser you usually use to browse online from your computer (eg. Chrome), connected to the Wind website, click on the button Log in located at the top right, fill in the fields in the menu that opens sideways with the required data and press the button Log in. If you are not registered yet, you can create an account right now by clicking the button Subscribe and following the guided procedure that is proposed to you on the screen.

Next, click on the button Customer area which always appears in the side menu and, on the page that is now shown to you, presses on the item Your credit present in the menu on the left. At this point, you will be able to view, on the right side of the page, the expiration date of the SIM, corresponding to the wording The time available to you for using the SIM will expire on and you can then find out the deadline for recharging the card before it expires.

If, on the other hand, you want to find out when to top up because you have active offers subject to renewal and you want to prevent the SIM credit from running out and / or that the latter are deactivated, click on the item Your offer that you can always find in the menu on the left, locate the section Proposal (on the right) and you will be able to view the activation date of the individual offers in the list, the day of which also corresponds to the renewal (if applicable) for the following month. By clicking on the name of the individual offers you can also view their details (costs, bundle of minutes, SMS, GB, etc.).

Check the remaining credit and top up the SIM

In addition to finding out when to recharge your SIM Wind, you would also like to be able to check the remaining credit? To do this, read my tutorial dedicated specifically to how to know the Wind credit. Even in this case, it is a very simple operation and can be done in various ways.

If, on the other hand, you are interested in understanding how to recharge, you can follow the detailed instructions on what to do that I gave you in my guide focused on how to recharge Wind.

In case of dubbi or problem

Have you followed my instructions on how to know when to recharge your SIM Wind but, in the course of construction, did any problems arise? Considering the situation, the most sensible suggestion I can give you is to contact the customer care operator.

To do this, all you have to do is call (from the SIM concerned) the 155, that is the toll-free number of Wind's customer assistance. When the call has started, follow the instructions of the recorded voice, press the button to receive support (should be the 2), wait in line, press the key to get assistance from a consultant (should be the 3) and wait for an operator to answer you. Then, explain to the latter what your doubts and / or problems are and you will see that you will finally get the help you need.

However, keep in mind that combinations of support services are continually subject to change. Consequently, my instructions aside, follow with the utmost attention what is reported by the guide, in order to avoid errors of form and useless waste of time.

If you feel you need further details regarding the operations described above to contact Wind customer service, I refer you to reading my guide specifically focused on how to speak to a Wind operator.

Furthermore, if this can help you, I would like to point out that, through the MyWind app, you can get in touch with Windy, the Wind bot, and try to ask the latter, after tapping on the wording WINDY at the bottom of the screen, support and information about your doubts and difficulties.

On the website of the operator, however, there is a guided assistance service which allows you to find answers to the most frequently asked questions about rates, Internet configuration and so on.
